PALM COURT, MENLO PARK

Taking advantage of the large suburban back yard was a focus for this newly constructed (2007) house for a family of six. A winding path leads from play area, with shed for toys and sandbox to the lawn around the raised vegetable beds to a play structure. Flowering trees and perennials edge the path and large Oak trees with drought-tolerant plantings create screening. Flowering and scented vines hang down to cover a stone wall facing the basement family room.
